The Department of Geology at the Faculty of Science is one of the leading departments in the study of Earth sciences. The program officially started in 2005 with the aim of preparing graduates specialized in both theoretical and applied geology. The department seeks to equip students with scientific knowledge and practical skills to understand various geological processes, analyze rocks, soils, and minerals, and contribute to scientific research that serves the community and industry. It also provides opportunities for field and laboratory training to enhance students’ practical application skills.
